What Keynote Speakers Should be Doing for Planners

Having exceptional keynote speakers at your events and meetings can take events to the next level. Keynote speaker Jeff Havens recently wrote an article detailing what speakers can do to make event planners’ lives easier-not the other way around. Some of the things your keynote speakers can and should be doing for you are:

-Always let you know when they have arrived: Planners have a million things to worry about, and whether or not speakers have arrived should not be one of them.
-Spend time with you and your attendees: This may seem like a no-brainer but it doesn’t always happen. Mingling is a great way to connect with the audience and make the event more satisfying for attendees.
-Follow your dress code:
If your conference has a theme, then your keynote presenter can and should help you reinforce that theme. If there’s no strict theme-business attire is always a safe bet.

While these requests may seem simple they can go help take your event to the next level. Do you have special requests or expectations for your keynote speakers? Share them with us in the comment section below.
