Getting Inside Your Attendees’ Mind

Event planners have started using the word “experience” rather than event to engage attendees on an emotional level. Some event planners have even gone as far as taking psychology courses to better understand the way we think in order to get a more captive audience. If you don’t have time for a class, we have a crash course in event psychology for you:

  • Use priming techniques to get attendees buy-in.
  • Social Proof all of your blog sites and social media accounts.
  • Supply and demand is real, but use it properly to maximize effectiveness.
  • You only have 15 seconds of attendees’ attention, get it while you can.
  • Increase memory retention by clustering event information.
HubSpot has a list of 10 principles of human behavior that can give you more insight into your attendees’ mind. Do you have any event psychology tips? Share them in the comments below.
